Το Σύγχρονο Παιδικό Θέατρο Σκιών ολοκληρώνει τη σειρά εκδηλώσεων του Πολιτιστικού Ιδρύματος Τραπέζης Κύπρου Στιγμές στο Μουσείο ’25, με τη θεατρική παράσταση σκιών - εργαστήριο για οικογένειες «Σκιές Κυπριακής Μνήμης: Η φιγούρα που θυμάται».
Tα παιδιά θα παρακολουθήσουν μία θεατρική παράσταση σκιών για να εμπνευστούν μέσα από αυτήν. Ο κεντρικός ήρωας της ιστοριούλας μας, ο παππούς Αντρέας, ανοίγει μια παλιά βαλίτσα που βρίσκεται ξεχασμένη στο πατάρι μπροστά στα εγγονάκια του. Ανάμεσα στα πολύτιμα ενθύμια, η παράδοση ξετυλίγεται μέσα από τη χαρά της μουσικής, της κοινής εμπειρίας και της αγάπης για την κυπριακή ρίζα. Η λαϊκή μουσική, τα τραγούδια και η θεατρική αφήγηση, συνδέουν το παρελθόν με το παρόν, αναδεικνύοντας την πολιτιστική μας ταυτότητα.
Στη συνέχεια οι συμμετέχοντες θα ενημερωθούν για την ιστορία του θεάτρου σκιών και των χαρακτήρων του και βήμα-βήμα με καθοδήγηση θα μάθουν πώς να φτιάχνουν φιγούρες θεάτρου με απλά υλικά (συγκεκριμένα τη φιγούρα του παππού Ανδρέα - κεντρικού ήρωα της ιστοριούλας). Τέλος θα τους δοθεί η ευκαιρία να ζωντανέψουν τις φιγούρες τους μέσα από τον φωτισμό και την κίνηση πάνω στο πανί του Θεάτρου Σκιών.

The Contemporary Children's Shadow Theater concludes the series of events Moments at the Museum '25, by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, with the shadow theater performance and workshop for families, "Shadows of Cypriot Memory: The Figure That Remembers."
Children will watch a shadow theater performance to draw inspiration from it. The main character of our story, Grandpa Andreas, opens an old suitcase that has been forgotten in the attic in front of his grandchildren. Among the precious mementos, tradition unfolds through the joy of music, shared experiences, and love for Cypriot roots. Folk music, songs, and theatrical narration connect the past with the present, highlighting our cultural identity.
Participants will then learn about the history of shadow theater and its characters and, with step-by-step guidance, will learn how to make theater figures with simple materials (specifically, the figure of Grandpa Andreas, the central character of the story). Finally, they will have the opportunity to bring their figures to life through lighting and movement on the screen of the Shadow Theater.
